Oh-Ebashi LPC & Partners is pleased to announce that, in order to further strengthen our legal services in Indonesia, we will start a business alliance with MAPS law firm based in Jakarta, Indonesia (the "Business Affiliation"), and open a Jakarta Desk from July, 2025.

Indonesia plays an important role as a manufacturing base in South East Asia for global companies, including Japanese companies, and, as a huge market with the largest population among the ASEAN countries, many companies have established operations in Indonesia and further development is expected in the future.
We have made efforts to provide better legal services in Asian countries by dispatching lawyers to Asian countries, including Indonesia, and by establishing an Asia Desk to provide experience and expertise in Asian legal affairs, in cooperation with local law firms.
With regard to Indonesian legal affairs, our firm has handled a variety of Indonesian matters, including M&A, joint ventures, licensing and franchise businesses to assist companies entering the Indonesian market, transaction agreements with Indonesian companies, debt collection, labor management in Indonesia, fraud investigations and involvement in insolvency proceedings. This Business Alliance is part of our efforts to strengthen our Asia Desk.

MAPS law firm is a highly reputable law firm in Indonesia, recognized for its expertise. It was awarded Dispute Resolution Boutique Law Firm of the Year at the Asian Legal Business (ALB) Indonesia Law Awards 2024, and has been named a finalist for the same category at the ALB South East Asia Law Awards 2025. Furthermore, MAPS was selected as an Elite One Practice Leader in the field of Arbitration, Litigation, and Dispute Resolution at Hukumonline's Practice Leaders 2024 and named as the Most Recommended Law Firm by Indonesia In-House Counsels in Hukumonline's In-House Counsel Choice Awards 2024. MAPS law firm has provided high-quality legal services to domestic and international clients, including Japanese companies, in key areas such as corporate, investment, arbitration, litigation, and insolvency.

The Jakarta Desk is expected to handle various matters and consultations in the corporate and M&A fields, particularly for legal affairs in South East Asia, including Indonesia. Kohei Omi, who has work experience at a local law firm in Indonesia in the past and is a Japanese law qualified attorney, will be based in Jakarta.

We will work to provide the best legal services as a partner to companies that currently have a base in Indonesia and to those who are thinking of expanding their business to Indonesia in the future.
