It has become essential for companies to incorporate SDGs and ESG into their business operations in order to achieve future growth. However, while addressing SDGs and ESG is a matter of concern, many companies are having difficulty understanding the meaning of SDGs and ESG and deciding on a concrete policy to address them. In addition, when setting business goals related to SDGs and ESG, unless a company knows how to secure a budget through fundraising, its options for policy will be limited, and the company may end up labeling its existing business with SDGs and ESG as business goals.
　In the first half of this seminar, we will provide a brief overview of SDGs and ESG, and then explain how to raise funds through ESG investment centering on the issuance of SDG bonds. The second half of the seminar will focus on the status of the system and specific methods of financing for environmental improvement (green finance), which is considered to be of particular interest among ESG investments.
